The City of Lisbon has partnered with ECICOG to update the City's comprehensive plan. The final draft of "City of Lisbon Comprehensive Plan 2021-2041" is available for review. The plan will provide guidance to community leaders to pursue residents' vision for the future over the next twenty years. The updated plan is the result of a months-long public engagement process and research into existing conditions in the community. The Planning and Zoning Commission will review the plan in December and make a recommendation to the City Council. A public hearing will be held for the plan before an adoption vote by City Council in January. Residents may provide written comment to Tom Gruis, AICP.     Use this forum to share your thoughts about how you want Lisbon to change over the next twenty years. We will incorporate your opinions into the development of the comprehensive plan.


    Comments should be about general, long-term goals. Here are a few examples:

    • I would like to see more retail and services available in Lisbon.
    • I am very excited about the new sports complex!
    • Offer more/different cultural and recreational events.
    • Offer support to expanding and new local businesses.
    • It would be great if there was a regional trail system our family could enjoy.

    Personal or short-term issues such as utility bills or specific locations of potholes are best raised with City Staff.

    Comments should be constructive and help advance the conversation. Comments are moderated but will only be removed as a last resort for vulgar or personal statements.
