The City of Oxford has partnered with ECICOG to update the City's comprehensive plan. The City and ECICOG will conduct outreach in the community to develop a vision for the community over the next ten years. City residents and business owners will have several opportunities to weigh in to define the vision. The updated plan will provide guidance to City leaders for growth and development that is consistent with the community's vision.

The City Council will hold a public hearing for the plan at 7:00 p.m., July 9th, 2024, at City Hall prior to possible action to adopt the plan.

    City Accomplishments:

    • Annual 4th of July Parade
    • Storytime walk at Creekside Park provided by the Library
    • New Library programs
    • Purchase of new tractor
    • Purchase of a new fire truck
    • Addition to water plant to allow for the safer storage of chemicals and bulk purchasing
    • Repainted Oxford water tower
    • Replaced heating and air conditioning unit at City Hall
